Over the past several weeks, theatre students in Hall's SPS acting class have been collaborating over zoom with acting students in Norfolk, VA, along with a director and playwright to explore a new play that addresses some relevant social justice issues of our time. The play has made important conversations possible and the process of exploring the text and these characters has given us a creative avenue to begin to address racism and discrimination. We look forward to sharing the play with an audience and hope it sparks continued dialogue in our communities.
We would like to thank the Foundation for West Hartford Public Schools and the Webersen Family for the generous grant which made this collaboration possible.
